Comedian T. Murph to Star in New Hulu Pilot “Woke”
Los Angles, California: Comedy newcomer T. Murph is quickly making a name for himself in Hollywood and is set to co-star in Hulu latest pilot titled “Woke”. T. Murph will appear alongside Lamorne Morris, from Fox’s New Girl, and Blake Anderson, from Comedy Central’s Workaholics. “Woke” inspired by the life and art of cartoonist, Keith Knight, and centers around Morris’s character, Keef, who is a cartoonist living in San Francisco on the verge of making it big. However, after an altercation with police, Keef lives in a constant state of “woke”, which is reflected in his art. Anderson plays the role of Gunther, one of Keef’s three roommates, who is a lovable eccentric who always manages to look on the bright side — even in the worst of situations. T. Murph will play the role of Clovis, Keef’s other roommate, and best friend. Clovis can best be described as unfiltered, full of self-confidence, and always looking for an angle to work.
After showcasing as a StandUP NBC National Finalists, T. Murph gained the attention of many industry executives. This opportunity lead to T. Murph landing a recurring role on Epix’s Get Shorty alongside industry veterans Ray Romano and Chris O’Dowd. As momentum continues to build, T. Murph kicked off this season of Comedy Central hit series Kevin Hart Presents: The Next Level with his own 30-minute Stand-Up special which helped propel the vitality of his TruTV debut on Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks. Other TV credits include Comedy Central’s Key & Peele, NBC’s Chicago Fire, and a recent appearance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
He is repped by El Centro Management and APA.
